Walsall FIS offers up-to-date information,
advice and help on services for families in Walsall.
The Ofsted Big Conversation is a communication forum where Early-Years care and education providers in the West Midlands region, including PVIs, childminders and Children’s Centres, can collectively bring shared areas of concern, or common themes on which they seek further clarification, to a representative from Ofsted, and receive a timely response.
The steering group is the collective voice and is made up of representatives from all areas of the region and a cross-section of providers. The group is looking for more key representatives, particularly from the following areas: Stoke on Trent, Dudley, Sandwell, Herefordshire, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, Walsall and Wolverhampton. As a representative, ideally you will be in touch with other early-years providers in your area through existing groups and will be able to gather information locally to bring forward for discussion at the steering group. Meetings take place once each term, across the region. In addition, organised ‘Open to All’ events will occur at least once a year. You must be willing and able to sit on the group for at least twelve months.
The next meeting will take place on February 4th 2016 at 10:30am at Ofsted offices, St Philip's Place, Birmingham, West Midlands B3 2BP. The building is just off Colmore Row and is opposite the cathedral.
In order to register your interest in joining this group then please email Tricia Wellings, currently Acting Communications Officer on firstname.lastname@example.org
