Developing Your Childcare Provision

Walsall Early Years Improvement Team offer FREE support to all childcare providers in Walsall. We will support and challenge your provision to make sure that you offer the best care possible. As a provider you will have a dedicated Improvement Officer to offer 1 to 1 support. What they do for you depends on you, but they can help with:
 
Keeping you updated on legislation and legal requirements
Making sure you meet your statutory requirements (staff ratios, etc)
Supporting your planning
Sample paperwork, policies, etc
 
Sometimes you need a fresh pair of eyes to identify areas of your provision that could be changed or improved and they provide these. And as a manager at times you might feel isolated or like you need someone to talk things over. Your Improvement Officer will be there for you. They can be a hand to hold, brain to pick or shoulder to cry on!
 
And of course they will support you with the biggest thing of all - Ofsted!
When Ofsted come to inspect your provision your Improvement Officer will help you be prepared and if you need any support during or after they are there for you.
