Times: 09.00 - 17.00
Day: Saturday
Venue: Bentley Leisure Pavillion
Costs: FREE
Aims & Objectives:
The Child Concern Model is a tool to help all partners working with children to agree the level of services and intervention a child and their family may require in order to fulfil their potential under the 5 Every Child Matters outcomes. Every Child Matters aims to integrate services for children from 0 – 19 with agencies working across professional boundaries to co-ordinate support around the needs of children and young people.

The Common Assessment Framework (CAF) builds on the Child Concern Model and uses common processes and language to meet those needs in the best possible way, focusing on prevention and early intervention and providing better support to parents and families. The CAF helps by supporting better information sharing between practitioners. It also provides practitioners with guidance on identifying the need for extra support and assessing specific needs and provides a vehicle for gathering practitioners together to address those needs.
