Aims & Objectives:
To ensure the children’s workforce have a knowledge and understanding of child abuse and neglect and how this can impact on a child’s development:
· What is child abuse and neglect?
· What is normal child development?
· Documentation and sharing of information
· Use of the framework for the assessment of children in need and their families
· What is private fostering?
· To understand the WSCB Child Protection Procedures in relation to abuse.
· Clarifying roles and responsibilities when abuse is suspected or alleged.
Must be renewed every 3 years.
